We are inviting candidates for the position of:

Adapt existing guinea pig character references into merchandise, including lens cleaning cloths, luggage tags and spring-mounted acrylic character displays, and prepare final artwork for production.

Responsibilities:

• Review the supplied character references and refine or redraw artwork where required for production.
• Adapt character poses, expressions and compositions to suit each product while maintaining consistency in proportions, colours and overall style.
• Develop product layouts and visual mock-ups for internal and client review.
• Prepare production-ready final artwork (FA) using supplier templates, dimensions and specifications.
• Include relevant print areas, bleed, safe margins, die-cut outlines, colour references and artwork placement.
• For acrylic displays, prepare artwork and cut-line layouts showing component placement and intended assembly for supplier review.
• Revise artwork following internal/client feedback, supplier technical checks and sample reviews.
• Organise and hand over editable source files and final production files.

Requirements:

• Experience in character illustration, merchandise design and production artwork.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Ability to work from existing character references and maintain a consistent visual style.
• Familiarity with print preparation, die-cut artwork and supplier production requirements.
• Ability to manage feedback and deliver accurate artwork within a short project timeline.
• A portfolio demonstrating relevant merchandise or character-based production work.

Additional Capability:

• 3D modelling experience would be an advantage if fully sculpted bobblehead figures are included. This scope and the required file formats will be confirmed with the production supplier.
• Product layouts and approval mock-ups.
• Production-ready FA for each confirmed product/design.
• Relevant dimensions, colour specifications and die-cut outlines.
• Editable source files with linked assets.
