About the role
The role is a detail-oriented engineer position with a background in Electrical/Electronics and Mechanical Engineering. The Trainer is expected to be hands-on and work in an industrial environment with minimal supervision.
The position is based in Tuas (industrial setting) with working hours from 8:30am to 5:30pm.
Duration: 1-year contract (highly renewable)
The first 6 months constitute a training period with no overseas travelling, after which overseas travelling of 50% - 80% to the Asia Pacific region is required. Company Transport is provided.
Key responsibilitiesSupport customers and channel engineers through technical and administrative activities
Understand customers' needs and concerns
Understand how business's Indigo technology works and able to resolve basic issues
Participate in ongoing trainings and escalations
Monitor equipment and machinery performance and perform preventative maintenance measures
Conduct quality assurance and safety checks on all equipment
Write reports and present findings to Managers and Supervisors on a regular basis
Monitor inventory and reorder materials when needed
Minimum Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical; Electrical)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively communicate with customers
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to work well in a team environment
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
Must be handy in tools & measurement equipment
Willing to travel to Asia Pacific region
